ZapCat provides free, independent advice to residents and small businesses on energy efficiency and electrification. Our programs are funded by local councils. We refer to you local residents that have been pre vetted. After the introduction, you work directly with the resident to provide the products and installation services you provide. The customer relationship is directly between you and the resident.

We are looking for installers who supply and install one or more of the following:

• Solar panels and batteries
• Hot water heat pumps
• Electric vehicle chargers
• Induction and electric cooktops
• Reverse cycle air conditioning
• Insulation and draught proofing
• Apartment block electrification, including apartment solar and EV charging

We provide qualified warm referrals to local businesses:

• We provide education, price estimates, and advice to households.
• Only households who are interested in proceeding will be passed on to installers.

We are a certified social enterprise and this program is funded by local councils. We do not charge any fees to installers.

To ensure quality for residents, all installers are vetted by ZapCat:

• Businesses must be responsive and provide quality service.
• Licences and insurances are checked.
• We review installation outcomes and customer feedback.
• Pricing for different products and service levels will be evaluated to ensure they are reasonable.
• As the program provides free, quality referrals to local businesses, we ask that you include a 5% discount for households, itemised on your quote.

Please note: while the Councils subscribe to ZapCat’s advisory service, they do not directly vet or endorse installers.
